The Onion continues to prove fake news is smarter than real news

The world wide leader in fake news has had some truly classic videos over the years. My personal favourites include the Macbook Wheel, Dorm Fire and Twitter stalking.
What makes The Onion parodies so hilarious to me are not just how — like all great comedy — true to life the jokes hit. Rather, in each vid there are levels upon levels of parody. This Modern Warfare video, much like its World of World of Warcraft predecessor, manages to satirize the news media in production and content, video game culture, youth culture at large, economics, war, the military, military bureaucracy and really, just every facet of life in an efficient three minutes.
One might almost say it is fake parody news with layers. Like an… uh, pie.
