Admit it, you’re a speciesist

The funny thing about the internet is you never know what’s going to go viral. Unless you have a cat.
In that case, for some unexplained reason, you can almost rest assured your feline video will be seen by billions of bored people, often non-voluntarily as email forwards are foisted on defenceless inboxes around the globe.
Outside of Garfield and Lion-O I’m pretty certain I hate cats. I’m not bitter though, don’t get me wrong. I’m just curious why you never see videos of a small puppy playing the keyboard get billions of hits, or a tiny ferret acting surprised whenever you tickle it.
I mean, did you realize that three of the top 15 viewed videos on YouTube of all time are cat videos? To be fair, a tarantula video is number seven and an otter clip just misses the cut at number 17. Also, Justin Bieber is number three. Make of this what you will.
For the sake of animal equity, I have decided to post cute videos of other animals (some which we love to eat) after the jump. You know, some food for thought. Eh? Eh?
Nobody said every post would be insightful, alright? Just watch the damn cute animal videos.

That panda video is adorable. Remember the first rule they taught us at J-School? Animals and babies always sell.

Three things:
1) Is Justin Bieber really holding shit down like that?? Holy.
2) I like that this post followed our in-person appreciation of Keyboard Cat.
3) I definitely vote Lion-o for Best Cat of All Time.

[...] Have you ever been out at the bar, or at a friends place, and in lieu of actual conversation you are surrounded by five people silently typing into their cell phones? This usually ends once somebody stumbles upon an amusing video, after which everybody crowds around a single tiny screen to watch something asinine (usually, involving a cat). [...]
