Ever visited thisiswhyyourefat.com? Well, Tim Horton’s newest deep fried confection invention is a clear contender for submission: the Candy Bar Supreme donut. Described on the Tim Horton’s website as “over the top,” and containing 310 calories and 12 grams of fat, the new chocolate-slathered, M&M encrusted jewel of a donut feels like a delicious, masochistic slap-in-the-face to a population bombarded daily by the news that WE ARE FAT.
I’ll be frank with you: I’m considering lifting a long-held donut ban (my attempt at “being healthy”) to try this sucker. There’s something about the chewy chocolate glaze and crushed up candies that appeals to my primal side. There’s also something about the ultra-fattening, non-O-shaped treat that offends my more conservative donut-preferences. Aren’t the gross donuts the domain of Americans? There’s a reason Krispy Kreme basically bombed in Canada. Give us a simple Sour Cream Glazed or Maple Dip, or give us death. But still, I will eat just one Candy Bar Supreme; though likely in secret, to hide my dual shame.

If they made these in Timbit format, I would be all over it.

Hmm…. the price is higher too. So, not only will it make you fatter, it’ll cost you more to do it. Lose-lose.
