Spectacle: The (D)evolution of Leah Miller

I know I’m not the only one who wonders this. But what in God’s name has happened to Leah Miller’s face?
Her start on MuchMusic in 2004 seemed timely. With Strombo out of the picture, and Sarah Taylor and Hannah Sung filling out the ethnic quotas, someone had to hold it down for the standard-issue blondes. (Devon Soltendieck’s manorexic frame only counted as half a body). You could say, though, that despite Miller’s carefully tousled hair and ample sparkly eyeshadow, there was still this bubbly, young thing peeking through– somewhat reminiscent of the Rachel Perry-type of days gone by.
In other words, hers was a face that could plausibly be found in nature.
And then…it all began to go a little screwy. After calling it quits at MuchonDemand and becoming host of Canada’s SYTYCD, she’s quickly taken on an eerie resemblance to what I imagine a lovechild would look like between Joan Rivers and Meg Ryan. Creepy winged eyelids (one of which always seems to be in perpetual wink mode) and restalyne-stuffed lips have booted her from porcelain doll territory into something more akin to Chucky. The fact that I haven’t seen a laugh line or brow crease materialize in over a year doesn’t help. And she’s not even 30!
But this might be one of those instances where a post just can’t rival the thousands and thousands of words told by a few simple pictures. And my guess is that if these words could spontaneously arrange themselves, they’d take the form of a persuasive essay entitled, “Stabbed in the Front: When Plastic Surgery Goes Wrong.”

although her face could certainly be the result of excessive amounts of plastic surgery-gone-wrong, her face actually looks very much like she’s had too much exogenous steroids to treat a medical condition (like say, lupus which is not uncommon in young females). it looks kind of like she has “cushing’s disease”. just a thought about why her face looks as scary as it does.

Yikes! She looks like a grotesque jack-o-lantern. She should let people know who did that nose debacle so people can avoid that doctor – call it a community service! I like how she tries to hide behind that stupid hair like it is fooling us. I feel sad for her; you really have to have low self-esteem to butcher yourself like that.

Not a good look and it’s a shame because you can’t fix when you go too far…sadly, she did go too far, no going back now Leah!

Her face is fucked. Whenever I see it I can’t help thinking what the fuck happened to her face?!
I just had to google “leah miller’s face” to see if it was just me who thought her faced was fucked or if other people have noticed.
She was so pretty before she got work done.

a little unsure without more pics but I first thought it was a chemical peel/thing gone wrong BUT with the other pics it does look like surgery. Another reason could be a good amount of weight loss but she looks the same shape. I wonder if it looks this awful face to face. why didn’t her husband STOP her?

haha all very funny yet astute comments from everyone. No, that’s not what being on steroids for a medical condition or cushings looks like. That all looks like really bad plastic surgery. Yeah, it’s like looking at a train wreck. Has anyone seen her most recently on SYTYCD? Every time I see her face I scream out in shock/disgust “OMG What happened to her face?!” This year her top lip is super puffy and it doesn’t help that they put cakey matte orange lipstick onto her lips. Yikes!

Most of all complaints about her looks seem to stem all the way back to 2008-2009. I just saw her recently on SYTYCDC, and her plastic surgery on her face is worse then ever. She has about 5-10 lbs of makeup covering every part of her face. It was swollen and stretched with botox and god knows what else. She’s completely disfigured and looks rediculous. Does she not have any friends or family to tell her how disgusting she truly looks? Does she not have a mirror? Who PAYS money to make themselves go from being good looking to a circus freak mixed with a pinch of transexual and Joan Rivers?

I had to google Leah Miller tonight to see what on earth happened to her mouth? Perhaps the people doing her make-up could do something about that awful lipstick which draws more attention to her mouth. Poor Leah :(

I was thinking that Leah was starting to look like Madonna at 50 (yikes) … maybe they had the same plastic surgeon. Sad that Mitsou looks so much better and she’s at least 15 years older than Leah.

Although she does look odd now, why is everyone being so hateful towards her? People make mistakes all the time. This just proves how much pressure women are under to keep looking young. When you have to consider plastic surgery at 29 that’s pretty sad. They should start adding a NO SURGERY clause in all the stars contracts. What ever happened confident young women with beauty on the inside as well as outside? Come on people cut Ms miller some slack.

I’ve been watching SYTYCD Canada for a few years now and often wondered, what the HELL has happened to Leah Miller’s face? Like many of you, I googled it and sure enough, I’m not the only one wondering. It’s such a shame because she was so cute before. Now she looks like The Joker. It’s almost like she can’t even smile properly because her face is too tight. Her glossy lipstick brings so much attention to her lips too. What a shame. She’s so young. Why did she go and do this to her face??

I used to actually find Leah kind of attractive, but I think she looks like more & more of a nightmare with each passing year.
It’s such a shame when someone with natural good looks, f*@ks it all up … and does so intentionally.

I don’t usually comment on these things, but I was watching SYTYCD and was in shock at the way Leah Miller looked. For such a young woman to feel that what god gave her needs to be fixed is just sad. Please, please can someone on her team tell her to stop putting that crap into her lips and face, please I beg you.

Thank goodness I am not the only one who thought something was going on with her face. My question is why do cosmeticians/doctors let people go this far? She was so attractive before as a VJ on MuchMusic. A little nose job or botox here or there never hurt anyone, but it should stop there!
What a shame, there’s a lot to be said for natural beauty, even if it comes with a few flaws.

This is so so sad, I know any normal person would be checking out what the media is saying about you, being in the public eye… So this is for you Leah, you were absolutely a normal but extra beautiful face on tv. Now sad to say but the “celebrity lifestyle” has dragged you under… The knife! WTH? I get so angry that young and natural beauties mess up their face with all of this stuff.. THIS IS THE SADDEST THING EVER! I Guess you’ll have to look at your reflection in the mirror and say to yourself.. ” why did I let them do this to me” I know I would! She seems like a nice person for sure, but this will catch up on her and I guarantee if she doesn’t yet, she WILL REGRET DOING THIS ! FAME ISN’T ALWAYS FUN!

I have a friend who was working at Much when she was still there. I am not surprised the annoying vapid airhead chose to carve up her head.
I’ve been actively trying to avoid seeing anything Leah is in, but I just happened to see her today commenting at the Oscars award pre-show. She was so disgusting and was criticizing the appearance of other people, what a joke.

I was wondering about this for a while. It looks like someone punched her in the face. It’s too bad, she looked a lot better before. Whoever did this should have their license taken away. She’s way too young for plastic surgery. :(

Like many of you have stated, I too was wondering if it was just me that was SO FREAKED OUT by what she has done to her face.When are people going to learn that plastic surgery actually ages you unless your over 6o yrs old when you get it done. Lindsay Lohan is also a prime example. I would feel bad for her but she is sooo mindless and boring that now her shitty face matches her personality now.UGH!
